Exciting New GLP Program
The Gifted Learning Project (GLP) is pleased
to announce it recently received a grant for its
newest children's program, "Meet Me in the
Garden," from the University of Minnesota
Northwest Foundation. Over 100 children have
already visited the GLP garden located on Lee
Thomas Farm (www.seethefarm.com)
to plant, rattle, rake and hoe. The GLP's
"Meet Me in the Garden" program works
with children in an organic heirloom garden to
provide fresh local produce for families, senior
citizens, and the community.

organic wheat, soybeans, flax, hay (great for pets!) and popcorn

Others call the farm home too,
Bio- Noreen Thomas along with family members Brita, Evan and Carsten
Thomas help guide you through the ag related experiences. Noreen is a
certified master gardener and Evan and Carsten are certified junior
master gardeners. Noreen has a bachelor's degree in food and
nutrition and microbiology with a minor in chemistry. The Thomas family
has been featured in national magazines and newspapers including
The Tony Danza Show. The family has published 3 award winning books.

Come be part of group. We work with all abilities and are considerate
of others. Carsten and Evan volunteer for Special Olympics and are a
foster family for adopt a-pet and help with rehabilitation of animals
that have been abused. Brita started Happy Feet Charity that has
provided over 6000 pair of tennis shoes for kids in need!
